Depends on your priorities. Not a thing wrong with Whey, but you will get some vitamins and minerals for whole food proteins like lean beef, fish, etc. For me, Whey is a convenience thing. With two active kids it’s a life saver to have a couple scoops of Whey with oatmeal powder, olive oil and a banana for a quick breakfast. The rest of the day my goal is food that I can chew but additional shakes can happen if my day goes sideways.
