I’ve recently transitioned from training 4x a week to 3x a week because it’s all I can do. I was previously on a 4x upper lower split and progressing well. I’m currently running a 3x full body split mainly because of the frequency and I’m doing 1 exercise per body part for two sets, a top and back off set. The problem is my recovery hasn’t been great, I go into the next session very sore and it affects my output. The question is, would it be better to remove the back off set and settle with only a top set or change to PPL?
