Hey Coach, hope you’re doing good!
I wanna ask you about the topic of muscle growth happening in spurts rather than it being a linear process. Lets assume athlete A is doing all the “right” things and is projected to gain 10 pounds of muscle tissue in one year. Is it likely that surges of muscle growth occur during that period rather than a steady linear growth keeping all variables the same in terms of training and recovery? kinda like hitting a thick glass numerously and then it suddenly shatters! Is it reasonable for me to expect that and be consistent with what I am doing, considering I am relatively new to training.,obviously not expecting to suddenly to turn into Ronnie Coleman?
If the phenomenon of growth happening in surges is ineed legitimate, what could be the mechanisms that cause that?
Thanks a lot in advance!
