Hello I have a question about a past injury. When I was a Freshman in high school I had a Bilateral Pars Fracture at L4 in my back. I did all the necessary physical therapy and came back to play the rest of my high school career in baseball and also played 3 semester in college. I recently got another MRI and it showed the fracture in my back has completely healed (even though the doctor said it may never refuse back together). I also recently have gotten really big into bodybuilding.
I understand squats are very good for leg size development, however I am not sure if it would be wise to start squatting once again.. with the weights on my back. It has been about 5 years since the fracture. Do you think it would be smart to start squatting again? And if so what would be the best way to go about. I have been doing lunges with dumbbells by my side, leg presses, and also leg extension but want to spice my quad focused leg workouts up a notch.
