Yeah I’d say just throw in an easy run once or twice a week in place of your cardio to maintain your motor patterns for running. Keep the pace easy and distance relatively short so you can preserve your training in the gym. I find when I stop running altogether for too long my form gets inefficient and the test is much harder. The test will still be a grinder on the lungs, but it helps to have efficient and familiar strides.
