I have a client who showed up with his clavicle pushing up nearly a half inch higher than it was previously. He said it didn’t hurt and he didn’t know how it happened. To my inexperienced eyes, it looked like a type 3 separation so I was pretty surprised when it resolved completely back to normal within a week or two on its own. A few months later, it happened again and I’m suspecting it has something to do with our workouts because it never happened to him previously. Do you know what exercises put more pressure on that joint? It’s not obvious to me.

He definitely has a weakened ligament for some reason. I keep all upper body exercises light to moderate intensity with textbook form. He is 65 and slender.
