Holy crap, Finishing week 5 arms with the Abomination giant set was stupid fun. After figuring out where I wanted to be for cable heights and not having a Swiss bar and figuring it out with dumbbells. I had three killer sets after two previous sets just learning the setup.
I know I could have went heavier on the DBs but didn’t want to grab half the rack trying out different weights to get it done but rather learning the movement and getting the forms spot on. I know it’s just pump work but without having a Swiss bar and the DBs keeping it clean was a chore.
Would using a straight or eazy curl bar be just as efficient/effective for pump work? I know the grip matters just curious. My very last set I had the DBs flowing pretty decent but I can see how having a Swiss bar just makes the movement more fluid. But the whole time I was focusing on where the DBs were going rather than the movement itself. I guess in time doing them on the ground vs a bench is something I’ll have to get used to.
I do have to say that giant set was brutally fun and I’m definitely feeling my arms today 💪💪😭😂
