Past week we’ve had some pretty nasty storms come in every other day. During the week I could feel in my left knee a nagging soreness that I’ve never felt before. At first I thought that it was soreness from my last lower in which I hit three different PRs but they felt really great with no issues during warm-ups, during sets, or after.
Yesterday was lower again and the night before my knee was bothering me like crazy so I decided to take the day to stretch, relax, and just hit it hard today trying to avoid injury.
I woke up this morning and my knee felt great and my initial warm-ups felt actually really great. I really worked my lower hard and even went ham on the hams since I was feeling so good. And nothing beats a good ham pump🤗 but I got to thinking.
Back in 2015 I blew my ACL, tore my meniscus really bad too. Every so often I have a nagging pain or a random burst of ohh that didn’t feel good😣 just walking or going up stairs. Kind of goes with the territory. It actually healed quite well without surgery. But I’ve never had issues when the pressure drops until now. Can barometric pressure drops increase the chance of injuries?
I know it was the right thing to do by taking the day and doing some light stretching and making sure I’m staying injury free. But it definitely was in the back of my mind this morning, not sure if I had a few more reps in my legs but getting older and having old knee injuries say peek a boo makes you rethink popping 900pds on the leg press.
