    Greetings

I’m currently making a switch from powerlifting to bodybuilding type training, I have a pretty powerlifting centric home gym (which includes a belt squat) was wondering if you have any programming suggestions for a belt squat in a PPL split with 2 rotations. Currently I’m putting them after high bar squats on my first leg day and after heel elevated ssb squats my second leg day. Any input would help. Thanks for all you do.

There is really no 100% right or wrong place to put them, but what you’re doing sounds on track with what I’d recommend. I would possible put my direct hamstring work first, then keep them even a bit later. And I would also program them a bit higher (read: more horrible) rep ranges. Programming them essentially the same place as a leg press. The don’t really train quads near full lengthened or shortened, but the spine being mostly unloaded and training the quads midrange, they are awesome for high rep output without other stuff being the limiting factor. So I’d keep them in the 20+ rep range.

Awesome! I did them for 3×20 after squats and it was a god damn nightmare. It was great (in an awful sort of way). My only issue now is finding more direct ham work with limited resources. I’m sure I can put something together from the recent home workouts you posted. Thanks again.
