When benching for hypertrophy should one try to bring their arms together, almost like trying to slide your hands together by applying pressure on hands. Often times powerlifters apply force to the opposite side I have heard.
Ya powerlifters train MOVEMENTS whereas if you’re trying to maximise hypertrophy you wanna train MUSCLES. In other words powerlifters use external cues to move as much weight as possible.
So the internal cue of sliding your hands together as tho you’re adducting the arms is pretty good cuz it should lead to u feeling a lot of tension in the chest
