Wanted to get your insight on a few things:
1) what is the benefit of intra workout? Trying to optimize this as I am starting to take bodybuilding more seriously, but don’t know what to actually use. For now, I am only using EAAs as my intra.
2) Also wanted to get your opinion on Pre-workout, is it something you use and is it even necessary?
1) I use intra workout every session. Basically if your training intensity is high enough, I think it warrants use, as it can arguably, slightly improve performance, as well as “protect” you from using EAAs from your muscles. So yes, EAAs are great. So the only thing I might add for now is a simple/easily digestible carb. Like Cyclic Branch Dextrin, or evening dextrose (if it doesn’t bother your stomach). Only really need 20ish grams carbs, tips.
2) I use pre workout daily. Caffeine is really the only pre workout ingredient proven to improve performance (unless you take creatine pre). But I like using “brain stuff” as well. Anything that improves mood and focus, I feel is worth it as well, but that’s personal preference. So just coffee is great for most. (I like Redcon1 Big Noise with Mental Trigger – but it’s not a “necessity”)
