    Hi coaches,

    I’ve been training for a year and a half and 80% of that time was just fuckery. I finally decided to make a change and train with intent.

    I’m having a hard time guaging RIR however, I did a set that felt like RIR 1 and it was really RIR 3-4 when I asked a few people knowledgeable about this stuff.

    Is there a way to get better? Should I just tell myself to train to failure that way I get RIR 2? lol



    Just my experience but there is no hard and fast rule or some special way. It’s a lot of trial and error, self awareness and experience. I do it by recording every set in the notes section and gauging what it felt like, how much weight, how much RIR. Think of it as skill acquisition
