    Hi guys,

    Currently on my bulk,
    Height 6’5”
    Weight 92.65kg
    Body fat 12.8%

    *Goal – 10% BF and weigh 100kg*

the app currently has my nutrition:

    Training days

    Carbs : 571g
    Fats : 102g
    Protein : 163g

(Should my protein be higher? Science saying 2.2x BW?)

Making sure that my BF does not exceed 13%, if does will do a mini cut. Or would you drop body fat first?

Could you offer any advice and guidance/order so I could reach my goals please.

    Many thanks

I personally would up the protein intake. In a diet scenario we can make a case of elevating it even beyond that. As far as body fat % goes, I am not a big fan of mini cuts unless you are super fat and out of shape or it is hindering your performance. People carry their fat around them differently and what may be higher bf% range for some may not be that for someone else. I also think (and this is agreed with by quite a many people in the industry) that in order to make the most out of your off-seasons you can’t get too emotionally attached to looking Insta fit year round. Building muscle takes a long time and by constantly switching between cut and bulk is in my opinion very likely going to be more counterproductive than beneficial.

And Like Antoine Vaillant used to say, ‘You can’t chisel a pebble’ ????

My advice is to take the recommended macros given and see what happens. Then you can start to make nutritional changes. You can’t make an accurate assessment based off of zero personal evidence

Been on those macros for 3 weeks now, gained just over 1kg and body fat increase by .3 ,

Didn’t know if my goal of being 10% BF would be better to drop to that first or keep on going up in weight and when body fat exceeds 13% to do a mini cut to bring it back down to 11-12% and repeat (obviously everything depending on appearance) … basically to look like Thor ha.

First off all gaining 7kg of LEAN mass while dropping body fat 3 points is a long term process. If you are already a fairly advanced trainee that is a lot of muscle. That said what I would advice is to stop being so emotionally attached of being in a certain bf%. If you are not looking like a block of blubber in the mirror just keep going and pushing that weight up. You are not gonna build anything in a matter of few weeks and by doing this constant back and fort you are only going to end up spinning your wheels. Patience, Rome wasn’t built in a day either.

It should be higher. Let me have a look into that and make sure the program didn’t mess up.

    Great thanks Joe.

I’m not emotionally attached ????, I just have goals just like looking like Hemsworth In Ragnarok is a goal.

Hence why I asked the experts on the opinion of dropping body fat first etc…

Well I’m sorry but that’s what the way you speak strongly indicates. If you truly want to invest in your off-season and making the most out of it then you need to get over this fear of gaining a little bit of body fat. 13% is still fairly low and unless you look really bad which I highly doubt, I would just continue pushing the weight up. Like I said, muscle is not build over night, especially when it comes to natties like you and me and the longer you can commit to the gaining phase the better.

Did you retry entering info? Is it corrected now? (Maybe update the app if it’s not working still)
