My son has flat feet and we have tried doing some standing calf raises and he has a hard time feeling it in his calf’s he says that he gets a pain in the modded of his foot that feels like burning.
I tried to have him do Joes ankle activation where he sits on a bench and is toes are on a box in front and he goes into full dorsiflexion and plantar flexion and he got the same sensation during that as well.
Do you think it’s an ankle thing or something that does have to do with his flat feet?
A lot of variable here but I appreciate any thoughts!
Ugh thank you so much this makes so much sense. So you think if he does a smaller range of motion until he is more conditioned in this particular movement that the feet will get stronger and stop burning?
