ParticipantHi guys. I’m new to the app. Just a quick question about the nutrition tracker. I have been tracking my food consistently for well over a year on my own. I am currently trying to bulk and I am at 4250 calories a day. The nutrition tracker on the app put me at 3850 and I know that won’t be enough. So I am going to adjust it but what I was wondering is should I use the same percentages for carbs, fats and protein that the app had? Currently I am doing 237P, 535C and 128F. The app had much more fat and less protein and carbs. Protein was only at a pound per body weight. Thank you for any advice.

ParticipantThank you Joe. I am still tweaking what works best for me and I honestly still don’t know. It’s been such trial and error for me since I have a very physical job so I need a lot of calories. I’m pretty sure I got my surplus calories figured out so I’m gonna run with my numbers for now along with your training program and see how it goes. I really struggle to put on weight and I know I really want it to be mostly tissue. I just seem to gain fat only in my mid section which is most likely true for most men. Love the program so far. Still adjusting it to the equipment I have but overall this first week has been very educational. Can’t wait to start adding in some pump work and finishers which I guess will come in the next phase.

ParticipantThat’s very comforting to hear Joe. Thank you. I am still always afraid of “am i putting on too much fat”. But i am slowly getting over that fear. I have been figuring out ways with my cables and pulleys to get as close to the prescribed exercise. For instance on a machine chest press, I tried out a cable chest press and I felt it actually worked out pretty well. I don’t have any leg press or hack squat equipment so I tried out a landmine squat which seemed to be really nice as well.
