Trying to word this properly, as I’m sure it’s very situation dependant, and a deficit is a deficit at the end of the day. But if carb cycling to get “peeled” is it best, on low carb days to make up the lost daily calories with fat and protein? Or, get the body in an extremely depleted state by leaving those calories out for the day, and then jacking your calories through the roof on a high day, to net the same weekly caloric deficit? Wouldn’t you still deplete glycogen stores if you replaced your calories from carbs with fat on “low carb days”?
