I’ve had a few guys from the gym tell me to cool it on the cardio because it will decrease my muscle gains. I typically run between 4-12 miles a week depending on my workout schedule for that week. Most weeks its 2 miles on Tuesdays and 2 miles on Fridays. About once a month I do a long run on the weekend of about 6-8 miles. I want to be well rounded in my training but wasn’t sure if the amount of cardio that I am doing will have the effect that I’m bring told that it will. So does cardio actually decrease muscle gains?
