Cardio on rest days

    When working out at the gym I do 4 days on of lifting and 2 days of rest. After weight training I usually do 40 minutes of cardio but I was wondering if it would be beneficial to do an hour cardio on those 2 rest days in terms of decreasing body fat percentage and maintains muscle mass?
