    Hey coaches,
A few months back while doing back squats something in my upper thoracic spine happened, I’m not totally sure but it hurt to breathe for a but. (I’m pretty sure it’s cause my back was very fatigued from super high volume that week) I haven’t had any pain from it for about 2.5 months so I figured I could go back to back squatting. I’m doing the powerbuilding program currently and I’m on week 7 and I had felt that pain again and yesterday couldn’t move my head to the right or go too far into thoracic flexion without extreme pain. It’s better since yesterday but I shouldn’t load any weight directly on it for awhile. Should I replace this movement with something else? Such as Hip thrusts? I can still do those. If not should I look into doing another program and if so would my saved numbers be lost if I start a new program?

Thanks Bryce, the powerbuilding program has me doing the split squat sissy finisher for 3 rounds every leg day. Do you think it would be overkill then to do split squats for my compound lift with that as a finisher? Maybe the heel elevated hex bar would be the way to go if that’s the case
