I noticed in one of your arm workouts on YouTube that you mentioned spending time in the 5-6 rep range can be really beneficial for your meat and potatoes movements and you were moving relatively quickly. You obviously get results while progressing that style of training, but I’m trying to see how that fits in with how Charles Poliquin says that for hypertrophy you should spend 70% of your time having sets take 40-70 seconds since that’s the optimal hypertrophy range, and only 15% in a range that has less TUT. any way to rectify these two methods when they obviously both get results? Do you feel that one of these tends to be superior to another or is it all about progressive overload in the end?
