Low incline DB press I’ve been stuck on the 80s for twice as long as I’ve progressed with other weights. I know progress isn’t linear, I know that a 5pd increase in weight on DBs can be challenging and even though it’s only a 7% increase I’ve been chasing reps for longer than expected.

I get 7 hours of sleep every night. Low stress. My diet is on point and I’m very consistent in the gym. The only factor I can see playing right now is me being In a deficit. I’ll be in this calorie deficit for another 70+ days. I do however zig zag my calories.

I’m down 9pds, gained 1.4 last week, went down 1 pd a few days later, probably water and my energy levels feel great. The only thing I can think of doing is using wrist weights for a few weeks.

Drop back to 75s add 2pds to each wrist and once I hit 12 clean reps with doing some paused reps, add another pound and see what happens.

Any insights to if this deficit I’m in is hindering my progress because that’s the only thing I can think of and using wrist weights may be the solution.
