Gor back development, should you get chin over bar?

feels better in terms of “full” ROM, then again it feels like biceps are really doing the work once elbows less than 90 degrees.

so better to do chin over bar or stop at elbows just past 90 degrees i.e. 3 quarter rep?

    cheers

Are we talking about a pull-up here?

Yeah, a per the title. for the avoidance of doubt, with a supinated or neutral grip.

If the goal is back, don’t worry about your chin or the bar. Neither are the origin or insertion of any back musculature. Just focus on the position where your upper arm and scapula finish.
