Following the Bropertrohy program – loving it. Huge change from the DC based low volume I’ve done for the last 10+ years.
Question is: could cable pulldowns following the same cues for form as given for chins be considered an adequate replacement?
I ask because chins cause me severe elbow pain even with straps (injury that is currently being treated), but heavy pulldowns do not. I was able to follow the same cues for chest positioning and scapular movement and felt as if I was getting good contraction in the upper back area.
Rack chins are also OK, but those are programmed later as you know.
Probably a silly question that I already know the answer to but I am overthinking because it’s a new program.
