ParticipantJust my two cents. so use it how ever you want …
First of all make sure you’re tracking what you eat. Weigh your food, log it, etc. There’s no way for you to adjust things if you’re not tracking it. Then look at the scale based on what you’re normally eating (base calories) is the scale going up or down? If not -and it’s just staying the same you’ve found your maintenance calorie level. From there I would probably do a conservative drop of 200 to 300 calories a week. Take multiple weight readings during the week and figure out your average weight. If your not seeing weight reduction in 1 to 2 weeks drop the calories again (small amount) rinse and repeat…simple in theory , hard in execution. But you can do it!
Also- the first thing I did when I joined was sit down and watch every video that’s available on the app . if you do so you’ll find some good tips from Joe on what he’s done in the past…. Hope this helps- not trying to be a know-it-all I know you’re looking for Joe to respond but just wanted to share with you (from my own experience) hope it helps.September 22, 2021 at 12:48 am #132524Casey Green
ParticipantHey joe forgot to mention I did go on an unhealthy diet was sick of being fat and did cardio high intensity long workouts and a good amount of fasting for a few months and do think I most likely ruined my metabolism. Have been eating much more not tracking or anything out on some strength and mass as well as obviously fat. Want to do a healthy cut but should I get my gut checked out/ how to know if I did a number on my metabolism doing and unhealthy cut. Kind of a lost puppy right now in my fitness journey.
