Hey coach Joe and Bryce! This is my thought process for the differences between presses and flys. I just wanted to know if this is correct:
D.b. Bench press can overload the chest in the lengthened position with more weight compared to a fly (because more weight can be used on the d.b. bench press). Whereas the chest fly is used to take the chest closer to fatigue and if using a machine (not dumbbell), it will work the chest through a wider range of motion compared to d.b. Bench press.
I was trying to think about the differences between the two. I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂.
