    Hi Joe.

    I am currently doing both trap bar deadlift and RDL’s as my deadlift variations.

    These are obviously great exercise for erectors but I use a belt due to my lower back (had an op a few years ago and since then my lower back is always the first to give in)

    My question is do I;

    A. Carry on using the belt and use a 45 degree back extension or another exercise to train the erectors

    Or

    B. Strip everything back from a deadlifting standing point of view and strengthen them that way.
