Deep sleep vs Overall quantity of sleep?

    Hi Joe,

    So if i aim for 8 hrs of sleep (in bed lights out 8hrs before my alarm) i find i only get around 1-1.5 hrs of “deep sleep” vs if i aim for 7 in which case i get almost 2.5hrs of “deep sleep”. My question is what is better? Does it come down to how i feel in my workouts in the morning etc.? I track my sleep with my Garmin watch and although it may not be extremely accurate i wear it every night so it is consistent. Any help would be great mate, cheers.
