ParticipantHey guys, so I did the diet calculator to bulk and increase 10% and it gave me only 3 meals a day along with pre, intra, post. Would appreciate some info on this as to why it’s only 3 meals? Also would appreciate if any of you can put this into practise and write down what are you guys eating in those meals with what supplements taken with them? Thank you!

KeymasterHey George, the PRE/INTRA/POST are all consider meals, so you will have 6 total meals a day. E.g if you wake at 6am and train at 5pm your setup would be something like..
6am meal 1
9am meal 2
12pm meal 3
3pm PRE (meal 4)
5pm-7pm INTRA (meal 5)
8:30/9pm POST (meal 6)OR if you were training at 9am
6am PRE
9-11am INTRA
1pm POST
4pm Meal 1
7pm Meal 2
10pm Meal 3January 7, 2020 at 6:16 am #16595George Foskolos
ParticipantThank you for the reply, the pre, intra and post are supplements no? do you consider them as meals? can you also give an example of what you are eating in those meals? thanks again.

InactiveThey can be but doesn’t have to be. Well intra is obviously going to be in liquid form. Now whether you want to call them as meals that’s up to you but they still contain calories thus they are counted as such towards to your daily caloric intake. And this is just how I see it.
As far as what you should eat, well you are basically asking for a diet plan here and I don’t think it’s gonna do any justice to just throw some random food ideas.

InactiveBut to give you a one example, How about the staple of every truly dedicated bodybuilder’s diet, Rice and Chicken 😀

My two favorite are Nature’s Path Organic – Koala Crisp and One Degree Organic Foods – Sprouted Ancient Maize Flakes. Because I can eat 200+ grams of carbs with either, zero GI distress, and they taste goodJanuary 12, 2020 at 3:53 am #16842Jay Maly

For the rest of the meals would you recommend other carbs? How many meals do you think you could have cereal as the carbohydrate?January 14, 2020 at 9:36 am #16919Anonymous

Personally I would favor lower GI carbs outside the training window. As far as the cereal goes, this is again, a very individual question. If you are not super active throughout the day I would limit it to 1 or maybe 2 servings per day because you don’t want your blood sugars be in this constant roller coaster for no reason. But again, these are not black and white answers and eventually it comes down to individual itself doing the research and finding out what works for them.
ps. Sorry again Joe, but noticed it was already 2 days old so please have some mercy ????

Overall adherence is the most important. So go with whichever carb works best, and agrees with your digestion. Glycemic index isn’t really a big deal when considering carb sources, especially when paired with other food. -
