Hey Joe! I’ve been having so much difficulty trying to find my lats. But even without weight I try to get it really short just sitting down. Should I even think about adding weight if I can’t even get my lats short with no weight? And is this the starting point to feeling my lats?
And on the eccentric portion of a lift. Am I trying to actively stretch the muscle? Or just resist the weight? Thanks!

And I meant when I get my last fully short. I can’t feel that hard lat contraction in the short range. Also I feel like I’m initiating from my teres when I start a lat movement. Even after depressing my upper arm towards my hips.
