Curious of the feedback of you guys who interacted with many top bodybuilders already.
It’s often said that high level bodybuilders train with high volume, but often when I see their training footages, they do a ton of warmup sets with medium/low intensity, and then 1-2 “top sets”. So I guess that’s not really “high volume”, in the way most would imagine it.
I know some famously trained with high effort and lower volumes. Arnold would be the only one I can think of now who trained close to all out effort and high volumes.
But what is your guys’ observation?
Regarding effort (reps in reserve) and volume (sets/muscle group), is there such a thing as an “average” with top bodybuilders?
