Hey, i’m a new member of the app and one of the biggest reasons I wanted this was access to these forums because boy do i have many questions. One of the things that’s been bothering me in the gym is the question of how much volume do I personally need? I train within close proximity/ to failure on practically every working set. I know everyone says they train to failure but ive earned/am earning my stripes when it comes to training intensity because i know it’s a skill you have to develop (i can send a few example working sets if that would help). I’m all for high intensity low volume training (although i don’t subscribe to the ideas of the 1 set only Mentzer worshipers lol) and would love to get to a point where i’m confident enough in my setup, execution and consistent intensity than i can stick to an average of 2 sets and know im stimulating muscle growth effectively. But I see different “Top nerds” like you and Terrence, john jewett etc doing different numbers of sets. Obviously i know it’s individual dependent, So how do i Find how many sets are needed or “optimal” for ME to stimulate growth.
