    How do I know how to sequence compound movements and isolation movements/ lengthened position focused and shortened position focused movements. For example a Hack Squat and a leg extension (Or a RDL and lying leg curl or JM press and a Cross Cable extension) One part of my mind says Put the hack squat first because training the muscle in the lengthened position is more important/valuable and should come first but the other part (actually this doesn’t make as much sense to me and is more something i’ve heard ) says i should put the extension first because the muscle is weakest in the shortened position. I’ve seen both used in programs across the site. I realize it is probably based on the individual and their goals so my question is what scenarios are each appropriate?
