Just singed up and am familiarizing myself with the content. Is there a program that is recommended for a beginner who is overweight? When I say I am a beginner, I mean that I have lifted on and off for years. Pretty good case of “Fuckarounditis”.

Is this to mean that you don’t really feel there is a program that is better suited when fat loss (as opposed to muscle gain) is the primary goal?

Ben, hope everything is going your way. One of the coaches will most likely chime in with a more nuanced answer, but just keep in mind diet controls fat loss. Any of the programs offered do an excellent job of building muscle (if done properly) which in turn “may” help with fat loss somewhat but primarily fat loss comes from the diet end of the spectrum.

I appreciate the response CP. I understand diet is the determining aspect of fat loss, I was more asking if any of the programs are better suited for a deficit – based on volume/intensity etc.

Ahhh, got it. Sorry about that, I think I misinterpreted the question. Just from a personal standpoint I have ran 5 or 6 of different programs, in surplus and deficit, and all were great in either situation…except Ben Pollack’s, it’s a BEAST. Welcome to the app lots of good stuff in here. But like I said the coaches hopefully we’ll have a more centered answer than I did.
