    Hi team.

Hope you are well. I’m coming here now more so for a mental side of things and I’m going to try and keep this short and to the point as I can.

So I’ve lost a lot of weight previously (over 10st) over 18years ago and I got down to 10st, I’ve maintained the weightloss for a long time, and in the meantime I’ve had multiple of surgeries, including radical nephrectomy (kidney removal and a 5lbs tumor due to cancer) and over the years I’ve done years and years of mixed cardio, running, weights etc. I was 20yrs when I was overweight, and now I’m here at 68kg at 38yrs of age and very much into my health and fitness still.
Again I won’t go into depth about it but I’m relatively new to the bodybuilding mentality side of things, “yeah bro to grow you got to eat” etc etc and with the massive amounts of mixed information out there it’s just one complete head f**k especially when you have had a history of weightloss and bad mental health. Now I am in a good shape, and I was at 61kg about 8months ago and my goal was to get to a more healthier 75kg. I’m currently on 3100 Cals, v-disciplined with diet and macros are P250 C350-400g F65g (which I hit daily and I monitor my weight daily.
I’m following the half body program over 4 days. I’m finding my weight has been around 68kg now for a few weeks. Now I am active and I’m very consistent with training, prepping, and being as active as I can however although I’m in a slight growing phase. I do a couple of cardio sessions a week as well, as well as hit over 10k steps a day, is there a need for the cardio or could I just stick to steps? Plus, what changes can I make to my meals, do I just add more carbs? Even more so to what I’m having, (I eat 5 meals a day keeping protein as a priority)
I’ve got the passion for training, and the passion to be a better version of myself every day and I’m always trying to learn more, but I’m sick of the mental side of it that comes when things stall, it’s much easier with weightloss which I have a lot of experience with but I’ve never been where I’m at before now, and I’m just wanting to tick boxes, be consistent and more so than anything be mindful! Hope you can help in anyway, I feel lost when it’s a rest day lol that’s why I try and do something like low steady state cardio for 30mins or I aim to get more steps, or should I just completely rest?

Hope you understand my situation, like I said I tried to keep it short but my journey is far from just a short term fix, I’m just coming away from a weightloss mindset to a building mindset etc. thank you.

Thank you Bryce. Yeah it wasn’t the answer I wanted as I’m always collecting data with my nutrition, weight, progress, digestion, log booking training, stress management, digestion, tweaking diet when I need to, my moods, my general feeling, but that being said, there is to much information and changes that can be done and only I can make those decisions but would help with the coach in that corner to guide me with the extra knowledge. That’s why I came on to this app lol. I’ve made huge progress over the years and I’m still learning but I know my “why” and I’ll continue to work towards my goals as ever even if I can’t find the answers that I need right now! Im sure one day things will fit into place with how consistent I am anyway. Thanks
