    This is specifically for push movements for chest on smith machines / barbells
    If the primary function is adduction of the humerus – would it not make sense to have a shoulder width or slightly narrower grip with elbows flared vs a wider grip?


    It does, thank you coach – it’s always a balancing act isn’t it there is no perfect solution, it’s about finding the right compromise in the context of the immediate objective
