a quick question. I have some hypermobility issues and was wondering what your thoughts on high rep resistance band exercises for hams, triceps, scapula and biceps on the off day after the 3 days on a P/P/L? I was listening to some Westside barbell podcasts and they were talking about the high reps training, trains more the ligament/tendon and also putting blood into the area which helps with recovery? I thought for someone with loose joints this may be a good Idea. Your thoughts would be most welcome? Thanks! P.S I’d maybe throw in some sled drags for good measure as my posterior chain is weak as fooook.

I really think it has little effect on “mobility.” Strengthening muscles around “too mobile” joints I would think is your safest bet long term.

West side loves speed eccentrics with bands. And they do create quite a massive blood flow to an area which is great for circulation and recovery. Beyond that, I don’t see a ton of use for them.

Spend more time on the Broga/activation type stuff as well. Like Bryce said, “strength” is generally the issue. Which is a brain and muscle thing. Work on end range control and isometrics. If something is supposed to fix. This might help
