I was wondering what your thoughts are on the merits of older lifters like myself, I’m 43, using higher rep ranges. For example 10-14 top set, 15-20+ back off? I know Dante advocates higher rep training for older lifters as long as your still training to failure. I do love lifting heavy but my joints can really feel it when I train to failure in those lower ranges and the higher reps actually just feel better but my concern with it is, high reps especially for legs,am I actually failing or did I just run out of steam?
