Hey there, please let me preface this by saying that I’m not suffering from paralysis by analysis. I’m doing every workout as its prescribed and working my ass off. I just happen to be very interested in the theory behind it all.
So: Theory about chest movements and barbell vs dumbbell. Often times people say that db’s are superior over barbells when we want to work out chest, since barbells make it harder to adduct our humerus to our body. DBs dont have this problem because we can move each arm individually and they arent fixated in a certain path.
But I still see the incline barbell press as recommended exercise a lot of the time. Why is that? Is the “argument” above something thats maybe true but the heavier load the barbell allows for makes up for it?
