ParticipantI’m a high school football, basketball coach and I’m the strength coach in charge of the weight room and their workouts.
I’m presenting a short 15 minute nutrition focused discussion on how important it is to make diet a focal point for sustained success.
Do you have any advice to reach these kids in a simple but yet effective manner?

ParticipantAs a high schooler myself, I would focus on the importance of it on performance, but also tie it back to looks 😅. A high protein, nutrient rich diet will help us build muscle, feel and perform better, help us get more confident as we get stronger and look better, and hopefully this comes will more romantic success. It’s also great to hear that you’re following such great coaches for information because from my experiences tons of high school coaches are clueless when it comes to actual muscle building, proper form, etc

Thanks a ton! I want to provide my guys with best possible path to being great at whatever they choose. I hopefully can get them to remain focused on it after school to maintain health a focal point going forward. I wish someone would’ve done more research because our coaches were the same. It appeared no one tried to continue to learn or make adjustment with new methods or rather it was the established system is in place, don’t improve it or change it.

ParticipantThanks Joe! I appreciate the reply! I have some questions ready for them with my presentation so I will focus on an interactive point of view rather than a pure instructional focus. Going to focus primarily like you said on protein and just give some basics on their diet macros and how they work. I always appreciate your perspective and it’s greatly beneficial!
