I’ll try and phrase this as intelligently as I can, but I’m sure you’ll be able to pick up on it no matter how much I slaughter it.
So given that mechanical tension is a stimulus for hypertrophy, would u say that it is more beneficial to prioritize a 2-3 second eccentric with a “pause” on both concentric and eccentric, than to just work through reps with little to no focus on pace?
I guess I’m wondering whether swallowing my ego and dropping weight to focus on control in contractions and eccentrics is a huge deal (better for hypertrophy)? I think this falls underneath the 5% of Stuff that people worry too much about rather than sleep or diet… but just genuinely curious. Thanks !
