Hi coaches, I’ve been working on improving my incline smith for several months now but still struggle to really fatigue the upper chest to reach failure within the muscle and not just movement failure. Have worked with different upper arm angles,grip width and Range of motion. Although I can feel the lengthening of the muscle within the movement and no matter how controlled the movement is I just struggle to provide enough stimulus to justify programming the movement when it comes to my personal variables within the exercise. Do you think performing a different movement ie, incline dumbbell or incline barbell would be a good choice to test out although I perform flat dB first so would the limitation of stablization affect the possibility of programming 2 chest dB presses after another. Just interested in hearing your opinion, sorry for a long one 😂 thank you
