There is an advisable percentage for increasing weight? Example i have to bench 100kg for 6/8 reps and I do 9, if i go for 110kg maybe is too much, i will probably loose a bit of form, TUT ecc. But if i go for 105kg maybe is too low and i will again do more than 8 reps,
I imagine that the more advanced you are the less the percentage increases should be, in a video joe said that we should increase of the minimum possible (or something like that, my English sucks) but for example if i do leg press with 300kg increase at 302,5 seems ridiculous, and 320 maybe is too much, so any suggested %?
Thanks guys, I think that progress are logarithmic and not linear, now that I m well trained, it makes sense to do minimal increase, but for example for covid I stopped to train for 1 year, when i go back to gym, I literally added 20kg of leg press every 10day for 2 month and matched reps every times, not because initially I wasn’t training heavy, just because of muscle memory, so if I had added only 2,5kg to return at a good level, it would have taken a lot more time, and I would have probably done a lot of reps probably 20/30
