    Hiya,
I train in the morning after I’ve walked my dogs for an hour which I do fasted.
I’m playing around with what I eat before I train and I’m going to try protein and fat pre-workout. Whilst following this protocol is there more or less of a need for intra workout carbs? I will be using EAA as per usual.
I guess it could come down to a couple of things, one being personal preference, also it could come down to performance.
I’m currently consuming about 250g of carbs in the day. which will be spaced out over the rest of the day. As I’m writing this I feel that I have already answered my question in a way, ie, try both and see which one works!
It would be good to have your opinion?

I don’t think it’s ever a bad time to have intra workout carbs. MOST people don’t need a lot at all though. Most men between 20-30g intra is the perfect amount. So that’s where I would start!
