The information on this app is incredible. I have been using the app applying the knowledge to my training.

I decided to start up the PPL 2.0 program and started using the training log built into the app and I gotta be honest…it needs a little work.

A couple of pain points from my POV…
    1) You have to dig for the videos for today’s workout or start the workout and then discard it if you’re not ready to do the workout right there and then.
    2) I don’t get to see what my previous rep counts and weights were from a previous session without going back to the previous session, write it down or screenshot it for reference.
    3) No timer (but I think that’s in the works), but even a crude one would be better than nothing.

All things I’ve been able to work around, but things that make the built in logger just a little better than carrying pad and pencil aorund the gym.

Again, the information you’re assembled in the app and the thoughtfulness of your responses to users is 💯. Just need some basic things added to the logger to make it more easier to use.

Agree with 1). I like to check out vids prior to training day/week and not sit there for 4mins watching a technique video. Yeah just be able to open up the daily program and watch the vids without committing to ‘starting’ the workout.
I’m not sure what you’re saying about 2) & 3) as previous weights and reps are in the boxes for today’s workout, which you change if needed. Timer is on top right of app. I’m on Android version if that’s different? Or you may need to just update your app.

Ok got it. For the reps and weights. It looks like they are tracked by session and not exercise. For the PPL program I did “Push A” that had Pec Deck Fly, but the Push B I did today had it also, but didn’t show the reps and weights I used from Push A. I went ahead to next week’s Push A and saw the reps weights. 👍

As for the timer. I was in terms of a rest timer. This is a minor issue that I think is already in the works.

I kinda figured after seeing the rep/weights carried over by session and not by exercise that it had something to do with sequencing. Thanks for confirmation.

The long videos are great for the setup, form and technique. There’s tons of information there that I think everyone loves. Making two sets of videos (abridged/unabridged) is kind of a passion in the ass. An alternative might be have the developer(s) of your app look into being able to tag your videos so you can launch them at certain points…so you can drop them off at the part of the video where you’re summarizing the key points. Kinda like what you see on YouTube. Just a thought.
