Just a follow up from your recommendation of bringing my feet down a bit on the platform and trying to close the 20 degree gap in the first picture. I spent several weeks at a reduced weight just trying to get the feeling right and 1 month later I’m back at the same weight, with increased reps and depth. That is why I pay for this site!!!! Real result and real education.
The second picture is 10 months ago( 4 months before my injury) and today, 6 months post shoulder repair. I’m not to happy with the decrease in upper body size, but I am definitely thrilled with the leg progress made since my injury in June. Definitely had some random training around surgery in September, but have been grinding away at anti flamingo since October while doing 2-3 days of pt. Just got fully cleared by the Dr. But don’t expect to be back and truly ready to run a upper specialization for a few more months, so I plan on riding this out and continuing to grow the legs. Just wanted to really say thank you again, and if you see anything else in the first pic I could continue to adjust for improved gains it’s definitely appreciated. Perhaps what would your mental cue be in the hole as far as driving up. Thanks again!!
Really really appreciate that advice Brice. I enjoy and seem to be able to truly dial in on simple one step cues and cannot wait to put that into action. Your experience with shoulder injuries and Joe’s advice have truly made recovering and maintaining/progressing much more attainable, as well as just making me a better coach and trainer.
