Reposting – think it got lost in the holiday shuffle:

Hey guys – I’ve always been lucky enough to trend pretty lean. I was a college athlete, then a regionally competitive athlete in CrossFit for several years. I’ve slowly transitioned away from that form of fitness since 2019. I’ve had different nutrition coaches over those years and tracked macros thru strength, maintenance, and cut cycles paired with fitness programming. Thru recent years i followed a program transitioning away from that realm toward aesthetics, but was probably over training and under eating as I’ve seen my lean tissue decrease w/ my body composition staying the same.
I subscribed here as part of your Black Friday deal and am doing the PowerBuilding program because I still enjoy picking up heavy shit and I tend to recover pretty well from big compound lifts. I’d like to add back some of the lean tissue I had when I competed (I was 205 in the off-seasons and would get down to about 195 in season). Im currently 183 (photo attached for idea of body comp).
I’ve watched quite a few of your videos as I’m used to being coached and following programming (diet/training) religiously. You mention during the macro basics video that there are outliers (people with >4% / <40%) when determining your macros (specifically in finding your protein…?). I did my first weigh-in after 2 weeks of macros in a bulk (male/36yo/moderately active/183lbs/high carb low fat preference/no steroids) and lost 1.5lbs. Im planning to adjust by 500 calories and stay the course as recommended in video, but thought I’d get the question out there. That if I am an outlier (have been 3-5% bf consistently for about 8 years), what would those adjustments be?
Sorry for the longwinded question thanks for the time
    Joey

No worries brother, I get it and I figured.
Thanks for the response. Appreciate the feedback.
Stuck w/ the 500 cal increase (mostly to carbs, slight uptick in fat) in the meantime. I’ll stay the course as directed in your previous video I referenced for this 2 week block (1 week left), then reassess.
    Thanks again.
