Just had a quick question…made a mini home gym since we are in a lockdown and stuff is expensive…so I picked a Swiss press bar Vs traditional barbell. When doing a low incline barbell press….would I be getting the same quality muscle recruitment even with a neutral grip arm path vs on a traditional bar? Thanks guys
It might depends. People made bench press arbitrary, doesn’t mean it will work for everyone.
The questions you have to ask yourself when doing swiss bar low incline press is « Do I feel like my targeted muscle is responding well to this exercise ? » « Do I feel fatigue in the targeted muscle after my sets ? »
If you get a massive pump doing it then it’s great for sure. If you feel like it kinda does nothing, maybe try different bench angles or hand positioning.
