I see guys like Christian Thibadeau and others occasionally recommending a phase of heavy 3×3 training for biceps. I know that you, Joe, have talked about how for guys with lagging arms, that heavy and progressive work in the 5-6 rep range can be very effective for growth. I seem to get a good feel in the muscle when I go heavy enough so that 3 reps is challenging but I want to ask you guys, do you think that going that heavy on arm isolation work can be beneficial or is it too much risk and strain on the connective tissue?
