I’ve been doing these on a dual cable seated row machine crossing the cables for over a year now and I am still confused on the proper angle to really feel my side delt contract.
At home the proper angle for me is doing a side lateral dumbbell raise using about a 45 degree or lower angle bench with my chest supported on the bench. This seems to be lower then most people.
So at the gym my position is reversed with my back on the bench. Would I need a pad or something to lift me to replicate the reverse bench side lateral at a 45 degree angle? I’ve tried the pad before and still can’t seem to get it right.
Don’t know why this is so difficult to execute for me, appreciate any input thanks!
