So I’m currently eating 2900 calories a day, which I believe is maintenance calories. My goal is to build more muscle so my question is, can I keep building muscle if I keep on eating 2900 cals a day? Or do you think that i should only stay at maintenance for short periods of time? Also, would you recommend cheat meals? And by that I mean having an extra meal and going over my macros. Let’s say I eat 2900 cals a day for 6 days a week and then 1 day I end up on a big surplus, would that be ok? There’s days when I feel like i could eat more, but I’m not sure If that’s cos I’m bored or I’m actually hungry. Also, this is my most recent lower body pic, and I personally think that I’m making progress; however, I’m not sure if I’m actually gaining muscle or I’m just losing fat so overall I look better because I’m leaner

Thanks for your reply I’ll keep tracking my weight and see if anything changes. Personally I feel like the amount of calories I’m eating might be enough because even though my gym sessions are quite long, I have no problem getting through the session. However, from a strength point of view, I’m not exactly sure if I’m getting stronger or not.
